TGLynes – Enfield
TG Lynes are distributors of materials and plant for the Mechanical Services, Heating, Plumbing and Air Movement Industries and have been established for over eighty years.
Their Enfield Distribution Centre operates from a 50,000 square foot warehouse facility and includes a 2,000 square foot trade counter. They are a NQA ISO9001:2000 accredited, privately owned business based in Enfield, North London.
We have a very good business relationship with TGLynes which has developed and deepened over a number of years.
They are a prime example of how our expertise and continual dedication to client satisfaction makes up the very fabric of our business.
We were first introduced to the senior management team at the company via a recommendation back in 2008. At the time TGLynes were not happy with their current telephone system, it was expensive, inefficient and there was a poor level of support service.
After an initial consultancy period we designed and implemented an alternative solution which delivered upon their requirement with the least possible disruption to their busy operation.
We carried out the initial installation from close of business on a Friday evening through to Monday morning. By the time staff arrived for work the system was complete and fully functional.
Upon completion we provided a dedicated trainer to carry out class room training in group sessions, to ensure that all staff had a good working knowledge of the new equipment.
This training was carried out on the Monday through to the Wednesday.
We also provided engineering resource to ensure that any issues or user difficulties were immediately addressed and resolved.
Their telephone system runs on and ISDN30 circuit with around 50 internal extensions.
During 2009 and 2010 we performed additional tasks for the client, including additions and alternations to their internal CAT5e & CAT6 structured cabling environments.
Again these works had to be carried out during the early hours of the morning due to the raised floor access in the main office environment.
We always ensured that when staff began arriving for work at around 07:00 the area was safe for them to continue with their duties and with minimal interruption.
In 2011 we were delighted to be offered the opportunity to take all of the network provision for calls, lines and data connectivity away from BT. This has provided TGLynes with good savings and a better service.
In 2012 we were invited back by the client as they were keen to start actively monitoring inbound and outbound calls to ensure that their operational activities were as efficient as possible. We deployed the Akixi SaaS solution so that all calls could be monitored either in real time from any web-enabled device in the world or historic call reports run. This also provides the company with an office based wall board solution to report call queues and live calls in real time.
This year we have taken over the TGLynes’s mobile phone account which includes around 30 handsets on the O2 network and also provided them with a high value, direct internet access, Ethernet first mile data connection, to provide them with a faster, more stable and private internet pipe.
